Bank clerk is that employee of a banking organisation responsible to carry out the smooth functioning of day to day financial transactions. The activities will include helping the customers in depositing money, printing on passbook, helping with withdrawals etc. In both the private and public sector, there is an increasing demand for financial services with globalization. This increases the demand for your job as a bank clerk. It is lifetime secure job with pension plans and other incentives. It is a highly sought after career option even though it is not an authoritative one.

How to become a Bank Clerk
STEP 1: After completing your H.S.C. (10+2) examination, if you wish to join the banking service directly, you need to attend bank clerk exams conducted by various banks. If not, you can graduate in a degree of your choice and then later apply for these exams.
STEP 2: You have to attend these bank tests by filling in registration forms and providing necessary documents and fee from time to time. In order to be updated with these tests, it is likely that you keep following the bank you wish to join and keep yourself updated about the exam dates.
STEP 3: The written test will comprise of questions from mathematics, mental ability, clerical aptitude, English and personality skills.
STEP 4: After clearing the exams, you will undergo a training program before working independently. However, some private organisations like ICICI arrange walk in interviews for hiring instead of the above mentioned processes.
After enrolling into the designation of a bank clerk, with passing years and better performance, you will be promoted into super senior positions. In order to reach these positions you will have to write certain tests and exams. However, it is the most secure career in the global perspective today with several opportunities for growth and improvement.
To start with a bank clerk will be paid between Rs.15, 000 to Rs.20, 000 per month. This can increase over the passing years and reach up to Rs.25, 000 per month. If you are smart enough and get promoted to senior most positions, your income per month can go as high as Rs.10 lakhs per annum or even more.
