Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication, sometimes also abbreviated as B.A.J.M. is an undergraduate course, under the domain of mass communication. It is perfect for those who are aspirants to various spheres in media and journalism. You will be provided with basic journalistic skills in various mass media, and it is a great opportunity to get exposed to media issues, media research, and to strengthen the foundation of various technologies related to mass media. After graduating, you get to work in print, radio, television, internet and related fields, where you learn further with experience. It is up to you to take up a full-fledged career or indulge in freelancing. The duration of the course extends up to three years, with each year having two semesters, making it a total of 6 semesters. The course helps you to garner the traits brightening your career in print, as well as electronic media.

 

Eligibility criteria

  • Those who are willing to take up admissions in B.A.J.M. need to qualify in your senior secondary (10+2) examinations with 50% marks at least.
  • Great English proficiency is an added advantage.
  • Candidates who are appearing in a qualifying board of senior secondary examination can also apply.
  • Students from any stream in their H.S.C are capable to apply.
